Bengaluru Doctor Murder: Doctor shares nude pictures of fiancee for fun, killed | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: Sharing nude photos of his fiancee with his friends and uploading them on social media proved costly for a 27-year-old doctor, as the woman and her three friends allegedly murdered him last week.
Dr Vikash Rajan, a resident of BTM Layout and from Chennai, was assaulted by the woman and two of her friends, Sushil and Goutham, all residents of BTM Layout and architects, on September 10 midnight. Police are looking for another accused, Surya, also an architect.
According to police, Vikash completed his MBBS in Ukraine and practised in Chennai for two years before moving to Bengaluru four months ago to take coaching for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), a screening test conducted by the National Medical Commission.
The assault happened at Sushil’s residence in New Mico Layout, near Begur. Vikash sustained severe injuries and was admitted to a hospital. He died on September 14.
The attempt-to-murder case filed against the suspects based on a complaint filed by Vikash’s elder brother Vijay was later converted into murder case.
Vikash was in a relationship with the woman for two years and they got engaged after their families gave a green signal for their marriage. But Vikash allegedly opened an account on a social media platform using one of his friend’s names and uploaded her nude photos. He also shared them with a few friends in Tamil Nadu.
The woman was shocked to see her photos on Instagram on September 8. She questioned Vikash about it. He reportedly claimed he did it for fun. The duo fought over the issue. She discussed it with her classmate Sushil, and they planned to teach him a lesson and roped in Gautham and Surya.
As per their plan, the woman took Vikash to Sushil’s house on September 10. The suspects allegedly assaulted him with a mop, water bottle and hands. As their intention was not to kill Vikash, they rushed him to a hospital after he fell unconscious. The woman informed Vijay about the assault. She told Vikash’s brother that she went to her friend’s residence with Vikash, and she walked out of the house to attend to a phone call when her friends started fighting with Vikash, and they assaulted him.
Investigation revealed that the woman’s friends attacked Vikash on her instructions. Police named her as an accused and arrested her with Sushil and Gautham on September 16 and produced them before the court. The court sent them to police custody for further probe.
