Himachal Pradesh: After being denied food and cigarettes at wee hours, hotel guest opens fire | Shimla News


SHIMLA: Irked over being denied food and cigarettes at midnight, a youth fired two gun shots in the air in a hotel in Chotta Shimla early on Tuesday.
After registering a case under arms act and different sections of IPC, the police has arrested the youth.
The person was staying in the hotel and after midnight, he had asked for food and cigarettes. When the waiter expressed his inability to serve him, he lost his patience and opened fire, creating panic in the area.
According to police officials, an FIR has been registered at Police Station East on the complaint of Mukesh Malhotra.
The accused was identified as Vishwanath, who reportedly asked for food and cigarettes between 2 am to 3 am, at which the waiter Kedar Singh refused as shops and restaurants were closed.
After his request was turned down, Vishwanath fired two rounds with his weapon and threatened to kill Kedar Singh.
