Here Priyanka Gandhi visited the exhibition of each stall and also met the tribal women who prepare these items.

Taking financial benefits by becoming a bamboo craftsman
Priyanka Gandhi was gifted a bamboo bouquet by women victims of Naxal violence at the stall of Bamboo Art Center. Sitabai, a resident of Gumiyabeda village of Abujhmad in Narayanpur district, and Palebai of Usebeda told that their family members were killed by the Naxalites, after which they left Abujhmad and came to Narayanpur city and settled here.

The women said that Priyanka Gandhi put her hand on her shoulder, inquired about her and asked where did you come from. The women told that they belong to Abujhmad and have come to Bastar to see them.

The illiterate women who were victims of Naxalism did not have any means to earn, after which the government gave training in bamboo craft art in Narayanpur and now they are getting financial benefits by becoming bamboo craftsman. Priyanka Gandhi saw the items made of bamboo prepared by these women and praised it fiercely. Along with this, the Congress leader took information about those women, apart from this, Priyanka Gandhi also praised Bastar coffee and also saw and appreciated the famous bell metal art of Bastar.

90 women earned Rs 7 lakh in a year
About 90 women of Abujhmad have earned an income of more than Rs 15 lakh in a year. In fact, many types of employment-oriented activities are being conducted by the women on behalf of the Mavli Multiactivity Center in Gothan, located in Kochwahi village of Narayanpur. Due to which their skill development of local rural women is being encouraged. In the last one year, women have sold processed foods worth Rs 15 lakh from this centre, in which women have got a profit of Rs 6 to 7 lakh.

Manmati Potai, who works in the women’s group, said that women are getting economic benefits by joining the construction of food processing units, cow dung paint and paver blocks in Gothan. 90 women are working in this food processing unit, apart from processing forest produce Kodo rice, black rice, brown rice, red rice found in Bastar, 5 types of cookies in which Millets are related to Kodo, Kutki, Mahua, Jaggery, Ragi. Making Cookies. Apart from this, it is also producing ragi flour, spicy powder, honey, processed poha, mushroom.
