How did Arvind Kejriwal’s name figure in the excise policy case? CBI will interrogate CM on Sunday

CBI Summons Arvind Kejriwal: CBI has sent summons to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with Delhi’s liquor policy. He has to appear on Sunday (April 16). After receiving the summons from the CBI, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made a big attack on the central government.

AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said, “Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given sleepless nights to the BJP people. Day and night only Kejriwal comes in his dreams and scares him in his sleep. This CBI summon shows the ‘Kejriwal Phobia’ of BJP. We are not afraid of your CBI-ED…

Meanwhile, sources told that how Kejriwal’s name has come in this? Sources said that during interrogation in the case, a bureaucrat of the Excise Department gave a statement to the CBI that Sisodia had called him to Kejriwal’s house. During this, Satyendar Jain was also present here. Sisodia had verbally asked him to prepare a draft to increase the commission for liquor traders. It was only after this came to the fore that the CBI called Kejriwal on Sunday (April 16).

What is being claimed?

It is being claimed that Sameer Mahendru had told the investigating agency that Kejriwal had made a video call on Face Time from Vijay Nair’s phone and told him that Nair was his child. He trusts them. Mahendru claims that crores of rupees were given in this case on the orders of Kejriwal, which was spent in the Goa elections. Investigating the money laundering case related to the excise policy, the ED had also alleged that the money received from the policy was used by Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party during the Goa assembly elections.

PM Modi mentioned

AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that CBI is sending summons to Arvind Kejriwal. I want to tell Prime Minister Narendra Modi that you and your government are immersed in corruption from head to toe and Kejriwal’s fight will not stop by sending summons to CBI. The conspiracy hatched by you to arrest Kejriwal, send him to jail and take action against him on April 16 will not suppress his voice.

What is the matter?

The CBI is probing the alleged irregularities in the liquor policy, for which the Central Investigation Agency arrested former Delhi Deputy CM Sisodia on February 26. The ED is also interrogating Sisodia regarding the money laundering case related to the Excise Policy, claiming that Sisodia is the main conspirator in the corruption in the Excise Policy.

It is alleged that in the Excise Policy of 2021-22 of the Delhi government, some dealers were benefited for giving licenses to liquor traders, who allegedly paid bribes for this. However, the AAP rejected the allegation.
