‘If we had not done anything in 70 years, Modi would not have been the Prime Minister’, said Mallikarju Kharge

Mallikarjun Kharge Slams PM Narendra Modi: Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday (April 14) while addressing a public meeting at Naspur in Mancherial district of Telangana targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He even said that if the Congress party had not done anything in 70 years, Modi would not have become the Prime Minister.

Kharge told about the contribution of the Congress party in the country’s independence. He claimed that if the Congress party was not there, the country would not have got independence soon. Along with this, he made a scathing attack on those who criticized the Congress party.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said this

During his speech, Congress President Kharge said, “This is the Congress party which will save the country and liberate the country.” If the Congress party was not there, the country would not have got independence soon. Mahatma Gandhi didn’t care about his life… He got freedom. Jawaharlal Nehru ji got freedom by staying in jail for 14 years. (Sardar) Vallabhbhai Patel supported Nehru ji in uniting the country. Subhash Chandra did…”

‘Modi ji does not become Prime Minister today’

Kharge further said, “Those who criticize the Congress, what is your contribution? What did you learn by just abusing the Congress. Modi also says the same – what did the Congress party do in 70 years. If we had not done anything in 70 years, Modi ji would not have become the Prime Minister today… Whatever we did, saved, developed, all this is the contribution of Congress.

Apart from this, the official handle of Congress tweeted about Kharge’s public meeting. It was written, “We have to move forward unitedly to protect democracy and the Constitution in the country.” It is the responsibility of all of us, it is our duty.

‘A poor man like me could become MLA-MP because of Congress’

According to news agency PTI, Kharge said that it was because of the Congress that a person of ordinary background like him could become an MLA and MP. Addressing the ‘Jai Bharat Satyagraha Sabha’, Kharge said that if Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi had not encouraged a ‘poor person’ like him, he would not have become a public representative.
