Delhi News: In an exercise to provide relief to the beneficiaries of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in getting treatment in hospitals, the compulsion to go to the medical officer for examination has been abolished. Now the beneficiaries will be able to get referred for treatment in the hospital even without going to the medical officer. Not only this, the facility of referral through video call will also be available. Along with providing this facility, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has also decided to revise the package rates.
It is no longer necessary to go to the wellness center
By simplifying the referral process, it will be easier for the employees to get treatment. Till now the CGHS beneficiary had to go to the CGHS Wellness Center for the treatment of himself or his family. Only after this the process related to being referred to the hospital was completed. After checking the documents, the medical officer will refer the beneficiary to go to the hospital. The process related to referral can also be completed through video call.
