Russia-Ukraine War: It has been more than a year since the war between Russia and Ukraine started. During this, lakhs of soldiers of both the countries have died. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials informed that Russia bombed a block in the eastern Ukrainian city of Sloviansk (sloviansk) on Friday (April 14). Eight people including a child died in this attack.
Sloviansk is located in a part of Donetsk, which is controlled by Ukraine. The governor of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kirilenko, said on Ukrainian television that a total of 21 people had been wounded and eight killed in the Russian attack.
Russia is moving into the hotspot of Bakhmut
The governor of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kirilenko, informed that one of the eight people who died was a child. At the same time, the journalists of the foreign news media agency AFP present at the scene, the rescue workers were digging the debris of the Soviet-era block.
Black smoke was coming out of the houses due to the fire all around. This attack on Sloviansk was done after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a bill.
The purpose of Putin’s bill is to include citizens in the army and prevent them from fleeing the country after the law is made. Russia also told that it is moving forward in the hotspot of Bakhmut, 45 km south of Sloviansk.
Russia continues to attack
South Bakhmut is that part of Ukraine, by losing which Ukraine can lose this war. For this reason, in recent times, Russia has intensified the fight to capture parts of South Bakhmut. Last month there was a news that Russia had lost 500 of its soldiers in a single day during the battle in Bakhmut.
Russia is continuously attacking with the help of Wagner Group, Army and Air Force. To remove the troops of Ukraine, it is trying to stop the supply. A few days ago, Britain’s Defense Ministry had informed that Ukraine has retained the western parts of Bakhmut city.
