Kashmir Weather Forecast: The Meteorological Department of Kashmir has said that there is a possibility of snowfall in the upper areas of Kashmir and heavy rain in the lower areas from April 18-20. The Meteorological Department official said that till April 18-20, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy and intermittent light to moderate rain is expected. He said that “there is also a possibility of light snowfall on the higher peaks”.

“Thunderstorm and lightning is also likely at a few places in Jammu division at many places in Kashmir division,” the official said. He further said that from April 21 onwards, there is a possibility of a generally cloudy sky with intermittent light rain, thunder and lightning. Such conditions are expected to prevail at some places in this region.

The weather is likely to remain mainly dry during this period on April 22, the official said. He said, “There may be little or no rain and the sky may be mostly clear.

Relief from heat can be found in North India

At the same time, due to the scorching heat in North India, some showers of relief can be found this week. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance is about to reach the Western Himalayan region from April 15. Due to its effect, there may be rain in the areas of Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand as well as Punjab and Haryana. Sporadic rains will start from the evening of April 15, which will intensify later.

Light rain and thundershowers may occur in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the coming four days. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in western Rajasthan on April 16 and Punjab on April 17-18. Apart from this, on April 18, light drizzle has been predicted in North Haryana. Drizzle may also occur in the northwestern plains.
