Akali Dal chief alleges ‘scam’ in Punjab’s excise policy, demands questioning of CM Mann

Sukhbir Singh Badal on Punjab Excise Policy: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday demanded that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann be questioned like Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that the Punjab government was a ‘scam’. Badal alleged that Punjab’s excise policy is on the lines of Delhi’s excise policy.

Sukhbir Singh Badal said that just like the Delhi policy, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab also handed over the entire liquor business to a few contractors and handed over monopoly in this business. In a statement issued here, he further alleged, “If the scam had been exposed in Delhi, but the Aam Aadmi Party continued to loot the exchequer in Punjab and it (the AAP government) extended the excise policy for one more year.” Gave.’

‘CBI can unearth this scam’
SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal said that only a CBI probe and detailed questioning of Punjab Chief Minister Mann can expose the scam. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was on Sunday (April 16) questioned by the CBI amid protests by AAP workers, while the AAP chief accused the agency of working at the behest of the BJP.

Videos were released before reaching CBI headquarters
In a five-minute video message on Twitter before reaching the CBI headquarters around 11 am, Kejriwal claimed that the BJP may have ordered the probe agency to arrest him. In this case, AAP leader Manish Sisodia was arrested on 26 February after about eight hours of questioning.
