S Jaishankar Mozambique Visit: India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar recently visited the African country Mozambique. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that he was very “warmly welcomed” by the African country. On Sunday (April 16), the External Affairs Minister posted a podcast on his Twitter handle, in which he spoke in detail about the Mozambique visit. During this, he also remembered the journey of Make in India train in Maputo, Mozambique.

The Foreign Minister was on a visit to Mozambique from 13 to 15 April. This was the first visit of an Indian foreign minister to Mozambique since 2010. During this, he had a meeting with the President Trustee there. Also chaired a joint meeting with Mozambique’s Foreign Minister Veronica Mocamo. Apart from this, he met the Health Minister and the Speaker of the National Assembly.

Travel in Made in India train

Recalling his train ride in a podcast, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said the train was efficient and really responsive to the needs of local commuters. India has made this train. The External Affairs Minister said, “My journey on the Made in India train was a success. This train really caters to the needs of local travelers, is affordable and accessible to Mozambique.”

Visit of two countries between 10-15 April

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar was on an official visit to the Republic of Uganda and the Republic of Mozambique from April 10 to 15, 2023. The Foreign Minister also stayed for a short time in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 13 April 2023.

External Affairs Minister visited Uganda from 10-12 April. In Kampala, he met President Yoweri Museveni and held wide-ranging talks with Uganda’s Foreign Minister, General JJ Odongo. The External Affairs Minister also interacted with the Indian community in Uganda and addressed the Indian Business Forum.
