Kargil War 1999: A tragic incident took place in Kargil on Sunday, in which a teenager has died, while two others were injured. This incident happened due to the explosion of the war shell of 1999. The incident took place near the newly constructed Astro Turf football ground in Kurbathang area of ​​Kargil. The three boys have been identified as Ali Naqi, Muntazir Mehdi and Baqir, who were residents of Kharjong in Pashkum.

Councilor Pashkum, Kacho Mohd Firoz said that the boys were going to the football ground, where they found the bomb. Ali Naqi and Muntazir Mehdi were seriously injured in the blast, who were immediately taken to the new district hospital in Khurbathang for treatment. Unfortunately, Baqir succumbed to his injuries and was declared brought dead during treatment.
