It becomes very necessary to take care of the skin during this time of the year with a proper skincare routine. There are certain food items as well which help in dealing with skin issues like dark circles, acne and other things.

A blogger on Instagram who goes by the name munching_meals, shared 4 juice recipes which are beneficial in dealing with skin issues this summer.

Juice Recipes For Skin

Juice For Glowing Skin

  • 1 Orange
  • 1 Beetroot
  • 2 carrots

Juice For Immunity Booster

  • 6/7 pineapple slices
  • 2 oranges
  • 3 carrots
  • Fresh turmeric
  • fresh ginger

Skin Hydrating Juice

  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 apple
  • 2 gooseberry / amla
  • 1 large cucumber

Juice For Dark Circles/Skin Brightening

  • 1 whole lemon
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery sticks

Dry Fruit Smoothie

  • 5 Almonds
  • cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1 tsp pistachios
  • 1 dry fig
  • (Soak in hot water overnight)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup milk
  • Dash of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • Honey or sweetener as per taste

Ragi Makhana Smoothie

If you are looking for a healthy and nutritious drink to keep you feeling full longer then try this Ragi Makhana smoothie.

  • 2 tbsp ragi flour
  • 1 cup water (Dry roast ragi flour for a few minutes. Then add water and cook till thick)
  • 3/4 cup roasted makhana / fox nuts
  • 4 dates
  • 7/8 raisins
  • 5 almonds
  • 1-2 walnuts
  • (All nuts have been soaked overnight or minimum 2 hours in hot water)
  • 1 tsp jaggery powder (add more if you like more sweet)
  • 1/4 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups milk (can add more if needed)

  1. Cook the ragi flour.
  2. Cool it completely and all the other ingredients and blend till smooth.
  3. Garnish with makhana, sesame seeds and cocoa powder

Carrot Smoothie

  • 2 carrots
  • 5 dates (soaked overnight)
  • 10 cashews (soaked overnight)
  • 5 Almonds (soaked overnight)
  • 1 tbsp jaggery powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 cup milk
  1. Peel, chop and boil carrots. Keep aside along with water till cooled.
  2. Soak dates, cashews, almonds in hot water for 1 hour minimum or overnight preferably. Reserve dates water.
  3. Add all ingredients into a blender and blend till smooth

Apple Oats Smoothie

  • 1 large apple chopped
  • Oats
  • 5 Cashews / 5 Almonds / 1/2 tsp pistachios, 8-10 black raisins
  • 1 tsp sunflower seeds
  • (Soak in hot water overnight)
  • Misri / Rock Candy
  • 1.5 cups Milk
