CBI interrogation lasted for 9 hours, 56 questions were asked to CM Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi News: National Capital Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its interrogation on Sunday asked him 56 questions regarding the Liquor Policy Case. Kejriwal joined the investigation at the CBI headquarters at 11.05 a.m. and the questioning went on for 9 hours before ending at around 8.15 a.m., after which he left the CBI headquarters for his residence.

He held a press conference at his home and told the media persons that he was asked 56 questions and he answered them all. Kejriwal said, ‘AAP is a staunch honest party. We haven’t done anything wrong. He asked me 56 questions. The whole matter is fake. They have nothing against us. There is no proof. The whole matter is of dirty politics. So far, no date has been given to Kejriwal for the second round of questioning. Kejriwal was asked about AAP leader Vijay Nair, businessman Sameer Mahendru and the leak before the policy was implemented.

Preparation for filing supplementary charge sheet

A team of senior officers recorded his statement. In this case, the CBI has filed the charge sheet and now they are preparing to file the supplementary charge sheet. The then Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI and ED in this case and is currently behind bars. To avoid any trouble, the Delhi Police imposed Section 144 in and around the CBI headquarters and detained 1,305 AAP workers.
