According to cyber police records, the accused has so far made 56 people his victims by showing them fake IDs on Facebook. The accused Vinod Gaikwad, who was caught by the Mumbai Police, has been arrested from Belapur area of ​​Navi Mumbai. Police have seized SIM cards of 12 different companies and 2 mobile phones from the accused, including fake army and air force straps and ID cards.

Borivali Crime PI Vijay Madaye and Cyber ​​Police’s API Kalyan Patil told that the complainant is a resident of Borivali. He had received information on Facebook that an Army and Air Force officer named Deepak Surve gets cheap and good goods from the army canteen.

Asked for 40 thousand to get fridge from canteen

The victim accepted the friendship of the said Facebook ID. The victim needed a good quality fridge. He told the army officer with Facebook that he wanted a fridge from the canteen. The fake officer contacted him and told that if he sends 40 thousand to his account, he will get the fridge delivered to him.

The victim sent 40,000 for the fridge to the account of the fake army man, but no response was received for 1 week. The victim has understood that he has been cheated. The victim gave a complaint to the Borivali Cyber ​​Police.

Information about the accused received from the intelligence system

Borivali Cyber ​​Police Officer API Kalyan Patil, while investigating the matter, arrested the accused from Belapur area of ​​Navi Mumbai on the basis of intelligence. Apart from fake Army and Air Force Navy, CISF jawan’s ID card and strap were found from the accused. Along with this, SIM cards and 2 mobile phones of 12 different companies were seized.

In the investigation of the police, it was found that the accused has made more than 56 people his victims in the name of getting cheap goods from the canteen by putting the ID of a fake army soldier with different names on Facebook. At the same time, he has also cheated in the name of getting a job in the Navy Army in Kashimira Road. Accused Vinod Gaikwad has dozens of cheating cases registered in different police stations of Mumbai.
