Jammu And Kashmir Temperature: Kashmir Valley and Ladakh are in the grip of wet and cold weather due to continuous rain and snowfall. Fresh snowfall in the mountains has brought down the temperature drastically, but there is no immediate flood-like situation in the valley. The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain and snow during the next 24 hours.

Naresh Kumar, chief engineer of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, said that due to incessant rains in some rivers in the hilly areas, there has been an increase in the water level, but there is no flood-like situation in the valley so far. It has been raining continuously in the Kashmir Valley since Monday, while the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir have received a good amount of snowfall and it is likely to continue till Friday.

In most places, the temperature decreased from 4 to 13 degrees.

Due to fresh snowfall in the hilly areas of Drass, Zojila, Kupwara, Gurez, Kulgam and Anantnag, a significant drop in the maximum temperature has been recorded. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the maximum temperature at most places will be 4 to 13 degrees Celsius below normal.

The minimum temperature in Srinagar was 10.3 degrees.

Meanwhile, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 10.3 degrees, Pahalgam 5.4 and Gulmarg recorded a minimum temperature of two degrees. Whereas, in the Ladakh region, Kargil recorded 3.3 degrees and Leh recorded 1.6 degrees. The minimum temperature was recorded at 17.4 in Jammu, 16 in Katra, 10.1 in Batote, 10.2 in Banihal and 11.9 in Bhaderwah.

Let us tell you that in the past, the Meteorological Department of Kashmir has predicted that from April 18-20, there may be snowfall in the upper areas of Kashmir and heavy rain in the lower areas. It is expected to be generally cloudy with light to moderate rain at times.
