Congress furious over BJP’s blatant statement on Manmohan Singh, said- Himanta’s mental condition…

Assam Gamosa Conflict: Controversy has started over a statement made by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma regarding former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Actually, Himanta said in an interview that the former Prime Ministers of the country Jawaharlal Nehru and Manmohan Singh did not wear Assam’s gamchha. On this, Congress’s Supriya Shrinate said that she is worried about CM Sarma’s mental health. He said that repeatedly Congress is advising Himanta to see a good doctor.

Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that Nehru was also the Prime Minister of this country, but has anyone ever seen the Gamosa (Gamcha) of Assam around his neck? There was Indira Gandhi and then there was Manmohan Singh who were MPs from Assam, but have you ever seen them carrying a Gamosa (gamcha) to an official function? We can ask that you were the MP of Assam for 18 years, but on the day you took oath, you could have worn Assam’s Gamosa (Gamcha), we would have been happy. At that time we did not know that there was any message in it.

BJP’s reaction

After this claim of Himanta Biswa Sarma, many reactions came from the Congress. National General Secretary of the party’s student wing National Student Union of India (NSUI) Anushesh Sharma shared two pictures of Manmohan Singh in a tweet. In one of these, the former PM is seen with former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi. Manmohan Singh is wearing a gamchha in both the pictures.

At the same time, after this Supriya Shrinate also targeted the CM of Assam. He tweeted that lest you forget that you are the CM of Assam and not the 2 rupee troll in charge of North East. We are concerned about your mental health. Are repeatedly advising you to please meet a good doctor and see.
