Delhi government released the budget for the improvement of MCD schools, the government claims – the picture will change soon

Delhi MCD School Budget: The Delhi government has allocated Rs 1700 crore this year under grant-in-aid for MCD schools. Under this, Rs 400 crore has been released on Thursday for the first quarter. Delhi Education Minister Atishi said that education has always been the first priority for the Kejriwal government.

Minister Atishi said, since the Aam Aadmi Party came into power, the biggest part of the budget has been given to education. Most of the primary schools (up to fifth standard) in Delhi come under MCD. MCD schools were not given attention in the previous governments. As a result, many of the children from MCD schools who come to Delhi government schools in class 6, do not even know how to read and write.

strengthen basic education
He said that the work of MCD schools is to strengthen the basic education of children from first to fifth. Working towards this, we will now provide excellent education to 9 lakh children of Delhi studying in MCD schools. Atishi said that we want that the way changes have come in the schools of Delhi government, the same changes and reforms should come in the schools of MCD.

… Then the answer used to come that MCD does not have money
During this, Education Minister Atishi said that we see problems every day that the teachers of MCD are sitting on dharna. They have not received salary. MCD schools are not cleaned and there is no desk for the children to sit. The answer to all these problems used to be that MCD does not have money. Removing this problem, this time MCD schools will be given a fund of 1700 crores. For its first quarter, a fund of Rs 400 crore is being released today. This will solve the problem of funds of MCD schools. Atishi said that now we will make MCD schools world class like Delhi government schools.

Education has always been AAP’s priority- Style
On this occasion, Mayor Dr. Shelly Oberoi said that the Delhi government has given such a huge fund to the MCD school today. Education has always been the priority of the Aam Aadmi Party. Following the thoughts of Babasaheb Ambedkar, we believe that education is the only medium which can lead to progress by making the whole society educated while building the nation. MCD has about 1500 schools inside the whole of Delhi. In which about 9 lakh children study. There are about 19 thousand teachers in these schools.

Most of MCD schools in dilapidated condition
Mayor Shaili Oberoi said that when we visited the MCD schools, we found that most of the MCD schools are in a very dilapidated condition, which is in dire need of repair. MCD schools are facing many shortcomings, such as lack of CCTV cameras in the school. There are no desks for the children. Many schools do not have toilet facilities. Somewhere there is no drinking water and somewhere the classrooms are broken. Also, there is a huge shortage of man power in MCD schools. Due to this, the pressure of work comes on the teacher itself. They are not able to do anything special for the betterment of the child.

Mayor Dr. Shaili Oberoi said that today it is a matter of great pleasure that keeping in view the problems of MCD schools, the funds allocated by the Delhi government will help a lot in improving the corporation’s schools. MCD schools will also be made world class education on the lines of government schools in Delhi.
