Delhi News: The oldest and famous Dilli Haat of the capital Delhi located at INA is going to be seen in a new look soon. Although it has always been a center of attraction for foreign tourists and local people, but now it will attract more tourists. It has a distinct identity due to the various types of delicious dishes including handicrafts and handlooms found here, taking it a step further, efforts are now being made to present it in front of the people in a new style by making it a makeover. For this work is going on fast, which is likely to be completed by June.

After being built in 1994, the makeover was not done till now
Its work has not been completed yet, but from now itself Dilli Haat has started appearing in a new style. India’s handicraft and food hub is being given a new look in view of the Delhi Tourism G-20. Let us tell you that in 1994, no change was made in Dilli Haat, built in front of INA market, but now under the process of its makeover, the stones here have been changed, years old stalls are being given a new structure. The food court area has also been changed and the open stage has been given a new look.

INA’s Dilli Haat is the oldest and famous
Delhi Tourism officials say that representatives of different countries are reaching Delhi for the G-20 Summit and since Dilli Haat is a place for foreign tourists It has always been the center of attraction, so now is the right time for its makeover. Its makeover work is expected to be completed by the month of June. Significantly, out of the three haats of Delhi – INA, Pitampura, Janakpuri, INA haat is the oldest and famous. Delhi Tourism official told that it is situated in the heart of Delhi and Embassy area is located near Chanakyapuri. In such a situation, a large number of foreign tourists come here.

Village look being given to Dilli Haat
 Several events are to be held in Delhi regarding the G-20 Summit, including representatives of 20 member countries and representatives of various guest countries. Will reach, seeing that the makeover work of Dilli Haat spread over 6 acres is going on fast. The entry gate of Dilli Haat will now welcome people with a new design. Red brick floor, bamboo structure stalls are being installed here to give the haat a village look.

Every day up to 12 thousand tourists reach Dilli Haat
Officials say that the stalls are now being made of wooden structures. Many stalls have been changed. The floor had become rough, so now big slate stones have been installed here. A crowd of 4 thousand to 12 thousand reaches here daily during different seasons/events, considering which an additional washroom has also been made. New sign boards with stone mesh have been installed at various places. A new way has also been made in the middle to manage the disabled friendly way and the crowd. The food court of Dilli Haat serves 29 stalls from across the country.

Officials tell that the food court shops are run by the state governments. Dilli Haat has 160 stalls, out of which 118 are for handicrafts and 42 for handloom. These are selected by the DC Handlooms (Development Commissioner). There, there are 29 food courts, which are allotted by the state government. Apart from these, there are also 52 commercial stalls.
