SpaceX Starship Blast: The world’s largest rocket exploded on Thursday (April 20) during the SpaceX Starship test. This was the biggest and most powerful rocket launch in the history so far. This rocket was launched from Texas, USA at 8.33 am local time. But just 4 minutes after the launch i.e. at 8:37, the rocket exploded.

SpaceX Starship was being looked at to take the first big step of man towards the planet Mars. The length of this rocket was 120 meters. It is believed that the two Shexon boosters present in the rocket system and the cruise ship could not separate properly just after takeoff, due to which it exploded. SpaceX has previously warned that the chances of success are slim.

The purpose of the launch was only to collect data
The purpose of the launch was only to collect data, whether the entire mission was achieved or not. Even after the rocket broke, SpaceX employees jumped with joy. Referring to the explosion, SpaceX said in a statement on Twitter that the rocket launch had not proved exciting, with Starship experiencing rapid unscheduled disassembly prior to stage separation.

The SpaceX Starship was designed to carry up to 100 astronauts. In this, the super heavy booster was placed on top of the rocket. A total of 33 powerful Raptor engines were fitted in it, which gives them power.

SpaceX will make a trip to the moon
The length of the spaceship was equal to three passenger jets. This giant spaceship was 10 meters longer than the Saturn V rocket. It was many times longer than the spaceship sent to the moon in 1969. SpaceX founder Elon Musk secured the necessary approval from the Federal Aviation Administration last week to go ahead with the launch.

Both the upper and lower parts of the rocket system are designed to return safely to Earth during a soft landing, so that it can be used again. SpaceX claims that the Starship, which has a payload capacity of up to 150 tons. It is capable of carrying dozens of people during long duration interplanetary flights.

SpaceX will make private journeys for 11 people around the moon this year. NASA has also contracted SpaceX to land astronauts, including the first woman, on the Moon by 2025 as part of its Artemis programme.
