IPL 2023: Indian Premier League, the dispute between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli had once again emerged. However, now the real reason for this dispute has come to the fore. Shane Watson, a member of the coaching panel of Delhi Capitals and former cricketer, explained the real reason for the controversy. Not only this, Watson has blamed Virat Kohli for the new controversy.
Actually, there was a clash between Delhi Capitals and RCB last week. RCB managed to win in this match. After the match, when the players and staff were shaking hands, Sourav Ganguly went ahead ignoring Virat Kohli. The video of the two former captains not shaking hands went viral on social media.
Shane Watson broke the silence on this controversy and said, “There are many rumors about which I cannot say anything.” But it is clear that Virat Kohli was angry. As an opponent, maybe you need this thing too. Virat Kohli gives his best when he is angry. The reason for this can be anything.
An old controversy
The controversy of the fight between Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly is old. Before the T20 World Cup in 2021, Virat Kohli had announced to leave the captaincy from the shortest format. However, Sourav Ganguly claimed that he had urged Virat Kohli to continue as captain.
Virat Kohli, however, denied Sourav Ganguly’s talk. After this, the dispute between the two players deepened when Virat Kohli was removed from the captaincy in ODIs. In January 2022, Virat Kohli announced to leave the captaincy from Test as well. In place of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma is handling the command of Team India in all three formats.
