Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda Remark Over India Visit: Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is making elaborate preparations ahead of his much-hyped visit to India next month and has said he needs to do his “home-work” before embarking on the trip. The official date of his visit to India has not been announced yet.
An aide of the Prime Minister said that Prachanda may go to New Delhi in the first or second week of May. This will be his first foreign trip after becoming the Prime Minister of Nepal in December last year. Promotion of bilateral relations and discussions related to trade, energy, agriculture, culture and air services will figure prominently in his talks with Indian leaders.
Nepal’s Prime Minister Prachanda said this
Prachanda said at an event in Kathmandu, “I am preparing for my upcoming visit to India, which is happening soon. We need to do proper home-work before the trip.” Officials in the Ministry of External Affairs have started the groundwork for his visit. Earlier this year, Prachanda had announced that he would be visiting India on his first foreign trip after assuming office.
Prachanda had visited India last year on the invitation of BJP President
In July last year, Prachanda reached India on the invitation of BJP national president JP Nadda. At that time, apart from the BJP president, he also met Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Prachanda was sworn in as the Prime Minister for the third time on December 26 last year. He dramatically walked out of the pre-poll alliance led by the Nepali Congress and joined hands with Leader of the Opposition KP Sharma Oli.
