‘If we keep repeating mistakes…’, KKR captain disappointed with his team after fourth consecutive defeat

Nitish Rana on KKR Defeat: Kolkata Knight Riders had to face another defeat in IPL 2023 on Sunday (April 23) night. Chennai Super Kings defeated KKR by 49 runs. This was KKR’s fourth consecutive defeat of this season. He is now at number eight in the points table. Team captain Nitish Rana is very disappointed after getting these back to back defeats. After the defeat from CSK, he has listed some major flaws in his team.

Nitish Rana said, ‘It is very difficult to digest giving 235 runs on this pitch. We are not able to improve in this tournament. If we keep repeating mistakes against big teams in such a big tournament, then it is certain to lag behind. Then we needed a good start in the powerplay to chase such a big score and we could not do that either. We remained behind during the entire match.

KKR bowlers looted a lot of runs
Batting first in this match, CSK scored 235 runs losing 4 wickets. All the batsmen played quick innings for CSK. Ajinkya Rahane scored the most and in the fastest way. He played an inning of 71 runs off 29 balls. Here, except for Suyash Sharma, the economy rate of all KKR bowlers was above 11. After this, KKR’s team could only score 186 runs after losing 8 wickets in the stipulated over.

KKR is at the eighth position in the points table
So far KKR has played seven matches this season, in which it has won only two and lost 5 matches. This team is losing continuously for the last four matches. So far bowling has proved to be the weakest link for the team.
