Under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, the team now registered its 5th win this season, defeating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 55 runs at their home ground. The team of Mumbai Indians had got a target of 208 runs but they managed to reach only 152 runs. In bowling from Gujarat, Noor Ahmed took 3 wickets while Rashid Khan took 2 wickets.

Captain Rohit could not show amazing, slow runs in first 6 overs

Mumbai Indians were expecting a good start from their opening pair to chase the target of 208 runs, but captain Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan did the work of disappointing everyone in this matter. The Mumbai team got the first blow in the second over of the innings in the form of captain Rohit Sharma, who returned to the pavilion after scoring just 2 runs in 8 balls. After this, Cameron Green, who came out to bat, along with Ishan Kishan, took the score forward but could not succeed in scoring runs fast. The team of Mumbai Indians managed to reach the score of 29 runs in the first 6 overs only.

By the score of 59, the team had lost 5 wickets, including the wickets of Tilak Verma, Cameron Green and Tim David.

Gujarat registered an easy win

After losing 5 wickets at the score of just 59, it was not an easy task for the Mumbai Indians team to make a comeback in this match. Suryakumar Yadav, along with Nehal Wadhera, tried to accelerate the run pace by sharing 31 runs in 14 balls for the 6th wicket, but he also returned to the pavilion after playing an innings of 23 runs in 12 balls. After this, Nehal along with Piyush Chawla made an effort to reduce the margin of defeat by sharing 45 runs in 24 balls for the 7th wicket.

An inning of 40 runs was seen in 21 balls from Nehal’s bat. The team of Mumbai Indians managed to reach the score of 152 runs at the loss of 9 wickets after 20 overs in this match. Rashid Khan and Mohit Sharma took 2-2 wickets in bowling for Gujarat while Noor Ahmed took 3 wickets giving 37 runs in his 4 overs.

Apart from Shubman Gill, Abhinav Manohar and David Miller showed amazing in Gujarat’s innings.

If we talk about the innings of Gujarat Titans in this match, Shubman Gill got to see amazing in the upper order, in which Gill played an excellent inning of 56 runs in 34 balls. Apart from this, the pair of Abhinav Manohar and David Miller in the middle order played an important role in ending the team innings in the best way. Abhinav Manohar scored 42 runs in 21 balls while David Miller played an excellent inning of 46 runs in 22 balls. On the basis of these innings, the Gujarat team managed to reach the score of 207 at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
