Parkash Singh Badal Dies: Former Chief Minister of Punjab and senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal Parkash Singh Badal breathed his last on Tuesday (April 25). He was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali a week ago after complaining of breathing problems. Hospital officials told that former CM Badal died at around eight o’clock in the night.

1. Many leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Draupadi Murmu, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed grief over the death of Prakash Singh Badal. Badal was the Chief Minister of Punjab five times (in 1970–71, 1977–80, 1997–2002, 2007–12 and 2012–17).

2. On the death of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, the Central Government has announced two days of national mourning. According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the flag is flown at half-mast during national mourning. Prakash Singh Badal’s last rites will be held on Thursday (April 27). Party sources told that on Wednesday (April 26) morning from 10:00 to 12:00, the dead body of Parkash Singh Badal will be brought to the party office in Sector 28, Chandigarh. People will be made to see him here. After this, he will be taken to his native village, where he will be cremated.

3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he is saddened by the death of Prakash Singh Badal. He tweeted, “Extremely saddened by the demise of Prakash Singh Badal. He was a towering personality of Indian politics and a notable statesman. He contributed a lot in the development of our nation. He worked tirelessly for the progress of Punjab and gave leadership to the state during critical times. Describing Badal’s death as a personal loss, PM Modi said he had interacted closely with him for several decades and learned a lot from him. Is. He said that I remember many of our conversations, in which his intelligence was always clearly reflected. Condolences to his family and countless fans.

4. President Draupadi Murmu said that Parkash Singh Badal was one of the biggest political stalwarts since independence. Though his exemplary career in public service was largely confined to Punjab, he was respected across the country. His demise leaves a void. My heartfelt condolences to his family and fans.

5. Rahul Gandhi said that the news of the demise of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, former Chief Minister of Punjab and former President of Shiromani Akali Dal, is sad. He remained a strong leader of the politics of India and Punjab throughout his life. I express my deepest condolences to all his bereaved family members and supporters including Sukhbir Singh Badal.

6. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also condoled the death of Badal, saying that he was a son of the soil and always remained connected to his roots. Singh said, “Shri Parkash Singh Badal ji was a tall politician who played an important role in the politics of Punjab for several decades. In his long political and administrative career, he made many notable contributions towards the welfare of farmers and other weaker sections of our society.”

7. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that very sad information was received about the demise of former Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal. May Waheguru ji give his soul a place in his holy feet. My condolences are with Sukhbir Badal ji and his entire family.

8. Present Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann said that he received the sad news of the demise of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. May Waheguru give place to the departed soul at his feet and give strength to the family to bear the loss. Wahe Guru. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the death of Parkash Singh Badal, the patron of Shiromani Akali Dal, is an irreparable loss to Indian politics. Shah said that Badal’s immense political experience was of great help to him in public life and it was always a pleasure to listen to Badal.

9. Born on December 8, 1927, in Abul Khurana near Malot, Badal graduated from Foreman Christian College, Lahore. His political journey started when he became Sarpanch. After this he became the chairman of the block committee.

10. Badal became an MLA for the first time in 1957 when he was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly from Malout constituency as a Congress member. He then contested from the Gidderbaha assembly seat and was elected there as an MLA on an Akali Dal ticket during the 1969 mid-term elections.
