Madhya Pradesh News: Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the Chief Minister Farmers Interest Waiver Scheme by filling the applications of Panchmalal and Jugendra Jhallu, two farmers of Sagar’s Primary Cooperative Credit Society Kerbana. Under the scheme, the amount of interest will be waived off for the defaulter farmers who have crop loans up to Rs. The Chief Minister informed that this amount of interest waiver will be paid by the government.

CM  Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that thousands of farmers became defaulters in the hope of loan waiver in the year 2018 during the previous Congress government and were deprived of getting fertilizers and seeds. The state government has understood the plight of farmers with crop loans up to Rs 2 lakh and has decided to waive interest.

Filling of applications will start from today, will be able to buy fertilizers- CM

The CM said that from Monday, the work of filling applications for interest waiver has started in about four and a half thousand committees of the state. Farmers will be eligible for fertilizer seeds with interest waiver and they will get loan at zero percent interest. The Chief Minister said that zero percent means not taking the amount from the farmer, but this amount is compensated by the government.

The Chief Minister said that his government is the government of the farmers and stands with the farmers in every sorrow and pain. He informed that an amount of Rs 2 lakh 31 thousand 322 crore has been deposited in the accounts of farmers under different schemes in the state. These include electricity subsidy, premium amount of crop insurance scheme, loan amount at zero percent interest, Kisan Samman Nidhi, solar pump subsidy etc.  

 52 thousand farmers of Sagar district will be benefited

The amount of interest of 51 thousand 910 farmers of Sagar district is Rs 76 crore 79 lakh. Will be forgiven. The waived interest will be reimbursed by the State Government. In the program, on the occasion of the launch of Farmers Interest Waiver Scheme, it was told that under the scheme, farmer Mr. Jugendra Jhallu  40 thousand 303 Rs. And 8 thousand 782 rupees of Mr. Panchmalal. The amount of interest will be waived off. On this occasion Cooperative, Public Management  Arvind Singh Bhadauria, Public Works Minister  Gopal Bhargava, Urban Development and Housing Minister  Bhupendra Singh, Revenue and Transport Minister  Govind Singh Rajput, MP  Rajbahadur Singh, Narayavali MLA &nbsp Pradeep Laria etc. were present.
