Guneet Monga On The Kapil Sharma Show This time Oscar winner Guneet Monga came on Kapil Sharma’s show. Film producer Guneet Monga was called on the special occasion of Mother’s Day. In such a situation, the Oscar-winning producer told that when she went for the Oscars for the first time, she was helped by the then President of the country, Pratibha Patil.

The maker of The Elephant Whispers told that in the year 2010 he had made a short film. The name of the film was Kavi. This film was nominated for Oscar. But at that time Monga did not have money to go abroad to attend the award function.

He told that ‘in the year 2009 my parents had passed away. So I decided to come to Mumbai. I left everything at that time to make films. I did not have money, at that time I used to live in PG. I needed money for visa, needed funds. So I wrote an email to all the influential people. I sent this mail to Richard Branson, Ratan Tata, airline companies and many big names.

Ex President had helped the entire film crew-cast
He further said- ‘I had sent the same mail to Honorable Mrs. Pratibha Patil. I got the answer from him. In such a situation, his assistant asked me what do you want from us. So I said that I and my cast and crew want to show you my film. I said this earlier also because you cannot ask for direct funds. So I said allow us to screen the film at Rashtrapati Bhavan.


He further said- ‘I went there with the entire cast and crew then, but Pratibha ji did not see the film. Prithviraj Chauhan ji saw the film. He heard me and helped me with visa and tickets. He also made arrangements for living and other things.
