Dilip Joshi On Weight Loss: TV industry’s famous actor Dilip Joshi has created a special place in the hearts of people with the character of Jethalal. He has been entertaining his fans for the last several years with his show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Dilip Joshi has also worked in films before this show. Now the actor has shared an interesting anecdote about how he lost weight for his role in a movie.
Had to reduce weight for the role in the film
During an interview with Mashable India, Dilip Joshi told, ‘I had done a Gujarati film. Its title was Hun Hunshi Hunshilal. It was a festival type film, which had 35-36 songs. It was a political satire type film. I had to reduce my weight for the role in the film.
This is how Dilip Joshi reduced his weight
Dilip Joshi further told that at that time he used to work and was also preparing for his role in the film. He said, ‘In those days I used to park my scooter and then after changing clothes in the swimming club, I used to jog all the way to the Oberoi Hotel on Marine Drive in the rain and go back jogging. It used to take 45 minutes. In this way I had reduced my 16 kg weight in one and a half months. The actor further said that it was fun that it was raining lightly. Sunset is happening and beautiful clouds, felt very nice.
Dilip Joshi used to work in travel agency
Dilip Joshi also told that he worked in a travel agency for five years before becoming an actor. He did this work from the year 1985 to 1990. It is known that Hun Hunshi Hunshilal was a Gujarati political satire film, in which stars like Renuka Shahane, Manoj Joshi and Mohan Gokhale worked apart from Dilip Joshi.
