It has been found in many studies that lung cancer can be detected with 90% accuracy by smell of breath with ‘Nanoes’ device. This device can detect volatile organic compounds, which can easily evaporate into the air.

Kidney diseases

According to a study published in the National Library of Medicine of the University of Illinois, researchers have developed a disposable device that can easily detect diseases, including kidney damage, by smell coming from the breath.

If there is a strong smell from the breath, then it can also be a sign of liver failure. Whenever this happens, then understand that the liver is not working properly. Actually, when sulfur accumulates in the blood and lungs, then a different kind of smell is produced. Whenever there is a liver problem, the breath can smell like rotten eggs or garlic mixture.

Diabetes

Body odor in diabetic patients can also be a sign of ketoacidosis. High ketones can make the blood acidic. Body odor can be like fruits in this. If not recognized early, it can lead to ketoacidosis.

Preeclampsia 

The problem of high blood pressure associated with pregnancy is called preeclampsia. This is an early sign of eclampsia.  It starts in the 20th week of pregnancy. This can cause tremors, confusion, and seizures. A study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health states that 84% of cases can be detected by the smell coming from the breath of a pregnant woman.
