Because of this, now everything from small shopkeepers to big traders have started transacting in digital payment. In such a situation, it happens many times that the payment gets stuck, but this money gets credited back to the account.

However, do you know what to do if you have mistakenly paid with your UPI at the wrong place? In such cases, people should not panic at all, because it can be achieved even after the money has been transferred to the wrong UPI or bank account.

In such a situation, call the customer care of Google Pay payment platform (Google Pay), Phone Pay, Paytm UPI. File a complaint by sharing the transaction details there. Apart from this, file a complaint in your bank. According to the guidelines of RBI, money can be recovered within 48 hours of making a complaint on wrong payment. The complaint to the customer care should be done within 3 working days of the transaction.

UPI do this in case of wrong payment through net banking

Similarly, if wrong bank account payment is made through UPI or net banking, first of all register a complaint by calling 18001201740. After this go to your bank and fill the form by giving the issued information. If the bank refuses to help, complain to the Ombudsman of the Reserve Bank of India at bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in.

Apart from this, do not delete the message of the transaction from the phone as it contains the PPBL number which is necessary at the time of complaint. Apart from this, you can also complain about wrong payment on the website of National Payment Corporation (NPCI). It is an organization created by Reserve Bank of India which provides UPI service. Always check before making online payment that the account or UPI on which you are transferring money is correct or not.
