‘This is not a street fight’: Delhi High Court pulls up Ashneer Grover

Hight Court On Ashneer Grover: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday (May 16) reprimanded former BharatPe Managing Director Ashneer Grover and BharatPe officials for speaking against each other in an unparliamentary or derogatory manner. The court also asked both to refrain from doing so. Apart from this, both were also asked to respect it by saying that they are a respectable person in the corporate.

During the hearing, Justice Prateek Jalan expressed his displeasure over the languages ​​used by both the sides and said that this is not a fight between an enemy gang. These are corporate people, educated people, outspoken people who can certainly voice their grievances against each other in the right way.

Not only this, the court even said that “if both of you have decided to go to the gutter, please stay there”. In fact, senior advocates Rajeev Nair and Dayan Krishnan, appearing for Bharat Pay Company, referred to some of Grover’s tweets, alleging that the firm has spent several crores of rupees on lawyers and fixers. Five cases have been registered against Grover during the last six months.

Earlier on May 11, the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police had registered a case of fraud of Rs 81 crore against Ashneer Grover. The FIR was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by BharatPe Company. Apart from Ashneer, the names of his wife Madhuri Jain Grover and three relatives Deepak Gupta, Suresh Jain and Shwetank Jain have been named in this FIR.
