An alert of very heavy rain has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Bahraich, Balrampur, Bareilly, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Maharajganj, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Rampur, Shahjahanpur, Shamli, Siddharthnagar, Shravasti and surrounding areas. The IMD has also forecast rains in UP’s Aligarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Amroha, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Badaun, Baghpat, Bahraich, Ballia, Balrampur, Barabanki, Bareilly, Basti, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Deoria, Etah, Farrukhabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Hapur. There is a possibility of rain in Hardoi, Kasganj, Kushinagar, Lucknow, Maharajganj, Mathura, Shravasti, Sultanpur and surrounding areas. The department has also issued a yellow alert in these districts.
